“Bananarama” are interactive installations, performed since 1994, where compositions created with fruit arrangements, made mostly of bananas, establish a visuality that comes undone as the audience, encouraged by the artist, consumes the fruits/works. Nature-commodity-work-of-art-food, a path between order and chaos. It was the first work carried out by the artist, subsequently performed in different versions. There’s little visual documentation of this work, which was presented at Funarte; at “Verbo” exhibition at Galeria Vermelho, in São Paulo; at the Liverpool Biennial (England), and at the “Contemplation Room” exhibition, at Overgaden Gallery, in Copenhagen (Denmark).
