“Fuit Hic” is a series of photographs that register actions in which the artist takes part. The work relates to art history, as in the flemish painting by Van Eyck, “Arnolfini Portrait” (1434), where the image of the painter is inserted in the work. The images were captured during staged situations as well as during mundane ones, when most choices where established by chance, which allowed the artist to realize, in certain given moments, specific issues – such as how his and the observer’s presence could change the events – which contributed to the development of the work.
